Just a quick post today....

I'm slowly getting used to the blog! I have now started to re-design my page, I hope to change it a bit more as and when I work out what to do!

I've added to the top of my blog, some pages that have photos attached of some of my commissions, I've only really started to take photo's of my work, so each time I make a card now, I always make sure that I take a photo!

I'm back!

What a crazy crazy week here in my crafting world!

I heard some fab news on Friday, I will be appearing in Cardmaking and Papercraft on 7th June (Issue 93) with some of my wedding stationery that I produced, I was so excited when I heard! Keep a look out for it!

I'm back again with some news that the talented Suzi Shepherd stamps is appearing on our television screens tomorrow with Aly from Dimension Fourth at 8am and 2pm on Create and Craft - please go take a look at Suzi's blog.

You may notice that I've got a lovely new logo! it's been designed for me by Suzi (thanks Suzi!).  Polkadots rule don't they?!

I'm still recovering from my operation, but I've managed to create a few commissions this week, a wedding acceptance card, matching wedding card, a birthday card for a boy, a new baby card, 40th Wedding Anniversary card and a few birthday cards, rather than post them here, I've set up (hopefully!) a page at the top of this blog, which will show pictures of some of my commissions, please take a look.  I do take orders, so if you are interested, please drop me a line at claireabellacards@yahoo.com for more information.  I will hopefully set up some kind of shop on here soon.

For my next blog I'm going to take photo's of a card I make that will show a few techniques etc for you to follow.

First Blog

Well, here goes, my first blog!

As i type this I am sitting in my garden, the lovely summer sun is here, yay! makes us all feel better doesn't it?!

It's been a busy few weeks here at Claireabella's, I had a long awaited knee operation three weeks ago and i'm still getting back on my feet, it's quite frustrating not being able to sit in my craft room for long and create, but i hope that soon I will be back on my feet!

Loopy Lou (the dog) is just crazy, but loving that i'm at home with her at the moment. 

So, what's been going on in Claireabella's crafting world?

Well, first off, I have been introduced via Twitter to a fabulous new designer, Suzi Shepherd, Suzi designs digi stamps and they are just amazing.  I bought some digi stamps from her Etsy shop and emailed her some photos of my cards.  As i type this, I don't know how to link to Suzi's Etsy shop (Suzi - help!) but when I work it out I will post it here! here is the link to Suzi's blog - http://www.thatssosuzi.blogspot.com/ go take a look!

Unknown to me at the time that I bought the digi stamps, but Suzi had her first launch of her stamps the same weekend on Create and Craft by Ally from Dimension Fourth.  Oh my, how exciting that must have been!!! I am really made up for Suzi and I hope that we can get a good circle of crafting peeps that buy her stamps and make some wonderful things with her creations! The latest Twitter news is that she is designing some new stamps for Ally, can't wait to take a peek!

All a bit of a whirlwind really, but yesterday, I found out that my work is going to appear in a crafting magazine (Cardmaking and Papercraft), the article will be on my wedding invitations! I was SO made up when I heard the news! I hope somehow and somewhere on this blog to attach photo's of both the cards I made using Suzi's stamps and my wedding invitations, err, not sure how to do that one, but i'm sure that one day I will look at this blog and laugh, we've all got to start somewhere right?

So, like you peeps, I read blogs that promise to blog daily, weekly, whenever, a lot will depend on how i get to grips with the technology for this blog, but, hey, give me a chance, we will have a laugh along the way....

Ah, ha, I've just found a "link" button, ooh and an "insert image"....which one do I press? 50/50 or phone a friend? or just take a chance?....
